Contrasts have always fascinated me. The greatest contrast to me is what we as humans contain within ourselves. That is perhaps why people form the main focus of my work. I try to express what I see inside of people - their wishes, dreams and desires. The process of work, for me is associated with a conscious and an unconscious state of mind at that particular time of creation. Through our life we store an individual vision of the world and we record what surrounds us. In the process of painting, I use both knowledge and imagination. Sometimes it surprises me to see what is happening, but I’m very happy that I can mix reality with dreams, past with present, knowledge about visual structure together with experiments in looking for my own structure.
